Renal pathology: Our team of fellowship-trained renal pathologists offers biopsy interpretation of medical renal diseases, including acute conditions such as ANCA-vasculitis, acute interstitial nephritis, and acute tubular injury, as well as chronic renal diseases including diabetic nephropathy, hypertensive nephrosclerosis, and other conditions. The evaluation of renal biopsies includes a comprehensive review of the patient’s history, as well as at least 16 levels of tissue by light microscopy, multiple immunofluorecent stains, and electron microscopic evaluation. The preliminary results are communicated to the Nephrologists on the same day the biopsy is received in the laboratory. The final report including multiple colored photomicrographs is issued within industry-leading 24-48 hours.
Special stains and immunohistochemical stains are also available on-site.
